Have you ever been watching your favorite Netflix series, and noticed the name of the first episode? Maybe it’s just me, but it was probably titled, “Pilot.”
So here is my “Pilot”
Hi! If you’re reading this, you may be a friend who is just dropping by to check on what’s new on my end. But if not, you may have checked out my brief About page and know a little bit about me already. However, I want to start off by introducing myself a little more, and letting you know why this isn’t as random as it seems.
Taking photos has always been a passion of mine. When I was younger, I primarily wanted to document my life in order to have something tangible to trigger memories. As I grew up, photos became more of a hobby. Throughout my three years in undergrad, I integrated photography into my courses and other activities at my small university in Illinois. That’s not always easy with a degree in business.
Which brings me to why I’m here. While studying business, I needed a creative outlet. I often found myself unable to focus because I was working on the things I had to do, not necessarily the things I wanted to do. At the age of 21, I don’t have a lot of advice to offer on any front, but I am willing to share my experiences and how I got here. I really enjoy writing, and my hope is to encourage, inspire, and help you understand what it is that you want to do one day.
My goal is not to bore you, or become the person who talks all about herself, but I have learned a few things in college I wish I knew sooner. If I can offer you a single shred of hope or encouragement in your day-to-day life, I will have succeeded.
On another note, there are a few things you should know… I love the city, but I also love camping and night skies. My [new] husband is my best friend; you’ll be hearing a lot about him, so I apologize in advance. I would binge watch Marvel movies and Friends all day every day if I could. Sometimes when I see dogs I get teary-eyed. I have a weakness for cozy throw blankets. Plants and flowers make me happy. I don’t like messes, I’m organized, and some of my most fond memories have been made by stepping outside of my comfort zone.
