Why everyone turns their nose up at meatloaf is beyond me. This has been one of my favorite recipes for as long as I can remember. Even my younger siblings eat it, and we’re all pretty picky eaters. It’s also about as easy as a slow cooker meal!

Don’t abuse this recipe, it’s a family secret… Sshhh!

Ingredients––

  • 1 1/2 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup dry sage and onion stuffing mix
  • 1 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small chopped onion, about 1/4 cup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp ground sage

Preheat the oven to 375º. Mix all the ingredients in a mixing bowl. Spread in an ungreased loaf pan (9×5) and cook for 1 1/2 hours.

We like to serve ours with a side of steamed veggies and/or a baked potato. Feel free to top your meatloaf with lemon or lime juice, brown gravy or ketchup!
